In memory of F. Scott Fitzgerald

F. Scott Fitzgerald, the great American author of The Great Gatsby, died this day 70 years ago. Below is one of my favorite quotes from the book (the last page), in his handwriting.

"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter - tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms further... And one fine morning -

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

The Heads of State recently produced an edition of 350 hand signed and sealed printed posters (18x24 inch on 140 lb. French Poptone Sweet Tooth paper) of different business cards of the socialites that attended Gatsby's elegant parties the summer of 1922. It's a very fun way of interpreting the book and converting it to design. Buy the poster here!
